Native English Translator and Proofreader

Recruiting Translation Checkers (Japanese - English) YPS International is recruiting translation checkers (Japanese to English and vice versa). We are a translation and interpretation company with offices in Osaka, Tokyo, and San Francisco. While we specialize in patent translation, we also offer translation services for a wide range of technical, legal, and other fields. We are now recruiting in-house checkers to handle proofreading and editing of translated documents. Recruiting on-site and remote freelance translators and checkers. On-site work will be conducted at our office in Kyobashi, Osaka or Kanda, Tokyo. Duties include proofreading and editing translated content, and simple translation and interpretation tasks may also be required. Application qualifications require PC Skills in Microsoft Office, and a visa permitting work in Japan (foreign exchange students eligible). Work hours are negotiable. 4 hours or more per day between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays, two days or more per week. Pay starts from 1,500 yen per hour, with all transportation expenses paid. Ideal candidates should have high language proficiency in their native and target language, the ability to research terms in the target language, and an interest in translation and interpretation with the goal of becoming a translator or interpreter. Open to those with experience as a translator or experience working for a translation company.
