Job Summary: As the Accounting Lead, you will oversee our accounting functions and ensure precise financial reporting. This role involves collaboration with the Finance Director and accounting professionals to maintain compliance with financial regulations and provide strategic insights. Key Responsibilities: - Accounting Operations: Manage daily activities (ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations) - Internal Controls: Create processes and control structures to track financial performance accurately - Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements for leadership insights - Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to local/international accounting standards and assist with filings - Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate on budget preparation and long-term financial planning - Process Improvement: Identify and implement accounting procedure enhancements - Tax Compliance: Oversee tax filings and compliance with tax regulations - Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure timely financial information delivery - Team Coordination: Allocate tasks within the finance team for workflow efficiency Ideal Candidate Profile: - Certified Public Accountant - Proven accounting experience - Deep understanding of financial reporting standards - Detail-oriented and accurate in financial processes - Ability to improve process efficiencies and work cross-functionally - Proficient in accounting software; familiarity with cloud-based tools is a plus - Fluency in English (Japanese proficiency is a bonus)
