Job Overview: Redefine the embedded Linux experience with the smallest, most secure, and most reliable operating system in the IoT market. We are looking for a technical engineering manager passionate about open source software, Linux, containers, security, and the developer experience, to shape the future of Linux from small systems up to desktops. This challenging role requires high degrees of technical and management skill. Mission: To enable building robust solutions across various fields including IoT, automotive, and aviation, using the next generation secure embedded Linux operating system. The focus will be to simplify and standardize the recovery mechanisms for fleets of heterogeneous appliances. Key Responsibilities: - Build and lead a distributed team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and career development. - Directly contribute toward your team's goals while demonstrating sound engineering principles. - Support timely delivery of technical solutions that address business needs. - Set and manage expectations with other teams, senior management, and stakeholders. - Advocate and advance modern agile software development practices. - Grow a collaborative and healthy engineering culture aligned with company values. - Participate as part of the leadership team and collaborate with other leaders in the organization. - Work remotely with travel for company events twice a year for two weeks at a time.
