Facilities Cost Estimator

As a Facilities Cost Estimator in the public works branch, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing short-, mid-, and long-range components of Strategic Basing Actions as part of larger initiatives. Responsibilities include: - Preparing and implementing outline costs for facility activities related to existing unit relocations, consolidations, and new unit activations. - Performing professional work concerned with the costing of facility planning, identifying needs, resources, problems, and solutions. - Assisting military and civilian leaders in making decisions on goals, policies, priorities, plans, programs, and methods to support the installation’s military mission. - Evaluating facility requirements and subsequent planning, executing work, and developing Unit Transition Movement and Unit Transition Project Trackers. - Preparing project programming documents and site plans. - Coordinating project schedules, priorities, and requirements between Basing Action projects and installation support programs, such as infrastructure, energy independence, explosive safety planning, and quality of life initiatives.
