IBDP Mathematics (SL/HL) Teacher

Sendai Ikuei Gakuen High School is an International Baccalaureate World School. The school is currently seeking a qualified and professional high school mathematics teacher for a full-time contract position in the school's IB Diploma Programme. The school will provide professional development. The teaching of additional non-IB classes (Mathematics immersion classes / English oral communication) may also be included in the teaching workload. The average teaching load will be approximately 20 teaching blocks (out of a 35-block schedule) per week. Additional Details: Position to start April 2025. Work week: Monday to Friday, Some Saturday mornings required (approximately twice a month) Hours: Weekdays 8:30-17:15 / Saturday 8:30-12:30 Leave: 20 days paid leave per year, all National holidays recognized Sunday and Public holiday work required a limited number of times throughout the year (school events etc) Health Insurance (private school system) Commute expense reimbursement Housing subsidies may apply Key tasks: Prepare and deliver effective and appropriate units and lessons in accordance with IB standards and requirements; Differentiate lesson material to meet a variety of student's needs and learning styles.; Use a variety of learning methods that encourage student discussion and collaboration; Monitor, record, and assess student progress; Abide by IB assessment criteria as outlined in Subject Guides.
