The Night Manager is responsible for the operation of the hotel during the overnight hours. Responsibilities include addressing guest inquiries and complaints, ensuring the smooth functioning of the hotel at night, and managing the safety and welfare of guests and staff. The role typically requires working the overnight shift from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., and the ability to make swift decisions in a dynamic environment is critical. Key Responsibilities: - Knowledgeable in hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) with the ability to perform check-in and check-out procedures. - Provide exemplary customer service by delivering information about the hotel’s facilities and services. - Monitor guest activities to ensure a pleasant stay and promptly address any issues. - Resolve service-related issues and oversee recovery procedures. - Manage overnight emergencies such as medical emergencies or fire incidents. - Undertake all responsibilities handled by Night Auditors. - Work with other departments, like maintenance, to resolve repair issues promptly. - Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and service standards. - Prepare comprehensive reports on hotel operations and suggest improvements. - Supervise and evaluate staff performance, providing ongoing guidance and feedback. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. - Maintain high standards of hotel condition.
