Responsibilities - Business Capability Mapping: Utilize knowledge of business architecture to build business capability maps and value streams that link strategy and execution, as well as re-engineer IT-supported processes as needed. - Collaboration and Integration: Integrate information from areas such as strategic development, business analysis, process management, operations, and systems analysis to create tangible deliverables and viewpoints. - Strategy Development: Develop business architecture strategies based on various business scenarios and motivations. - Structural Approach: Apply structured business architecture techniques to capture key enterprise views and function as a technical resource within the team. - Goal Alignment: Capture strategic organizational goals, trace them within the organization, and map them to metrics for sustainable governance. - Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between business and IT, communicating business needs to IT and data constraints to the business, ensuring alignment between business strategy, IT strategy, processes, and initiatives. - Product Alignment: Identify priorities, manage multiple workstreams, coordinate activities across departments, and track deliverables to meet deadlines. - Function Description: Describe key business functions by distinguishing between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution, and governance capabilities. - Innovation and Experimentation: Leverage technical and functional knowledge to conduct experiments and explore new approaches. - Technology Utilization: Effectively use technology to solve challenges in ambiguous situations, explaining complex issues and building coherence. - Result Consistency: Ensure that architectural outcomes align with business outcomes and promote the voluntary use of technology reuse and architectural patterns. - Understanding Corporate Goals: Understand the goals of the Animal Health EA group within the organization. - Technical Planning: Drive technology planning and investment based on business outcomes by mapping interdependencies between business functions and IT applications/platforms. - Performance Metrics: Align architect performance metrics and incentives with business outcomes such as digital maturity, cost reduction, process efficiency, error reduction, innovation, and revenue growth. - Artifact Development: Rapidly develop artifacts to build an enterprise-wide view of changes occurring within each value team. - Investment Comparison: Provide a straightforward approach for decision-makers to compare product line investment plans. - Roadmap Maintenance: Create detailed roadmaps for each product line, clarifying priorities. Qualifications - Over 5 years of experience with TOGAF and Zachman Framework methodologies. - Proficient in business process modeling, strategic planning, requirements management, systems design, business process improvement, and Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA). - Strong understanding of business strategy and capability to interpret and develop operational needs. - Ability to design and implement effective IT architecture for business process management. - Experience in developing information usage/decision-making use cases, information models, and quality assessment. - Ability to analyze, design, and develop solutions based on current and future states. - Knowledge of enterprise technology capabilities and their reuse. - Leadership skills to drive business transformation. - Knowledge of strategic planning, entrepreneurship, innovation, and business. - Strong communication skills to clearly communicate complex ideas and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Proven track record in coaching, development, talent growth, and execution excellence. - Experience using EA tools such as Orbus, Mega, LeanIX, Bizzdesign.
